Pakistan 72 1st innings | England took 40 runs lead with 8 wickets in day 1 | 2nd Test

In the second test England look 40 runs lead at the end of the Day 1 with 8 wickets in hand. Trott is batting on 31 and Pietersen is on 36 runs not out. Two opening batsman Strauss and Cook scored 25 and 17 runs before out. Among Pakistani bowlers Mohammad Amer and Mohammad Asif took 1 wicket each. At the end of the Day 1 England managed to score 112 runs for the loss of 2 wicket.

Earlier Pakistani batsman just managed to score 72 runs only. They were very ordinary in front of English pace attack. JP Anderson and Stuart Broad took 4 wicket each while Finn took other 2! Pakistan team was all out in just 39.3 overs. Umer Amin was the highest scores, he scored 23 runs. Only 3 batsman did score 2 figure!
