Pakistan took 204 runs lead in fist innings


After winning the toss Ricki Ponting decided to bat first, which was a bad decision. Pakistani Bowler Asif took 6 wickets, his career best, in the first innings and bound Australia in 127 runs in first innings, which is a rare case now a days for Australia in Test Cricket. Australian Mitchell Johnson is the highest scorer. He scored 38 run. Pakistani opening bowler Mohammad Sami took first 3 wickets and then Mohammad Asif did the devastation. 


In reply Pakistan scored 331 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the first innings at the end of the day 2. Salman Butt scored, the highest scorer of the match, 71 runs, while another opener Imran Farhat scored 53 runs. And Umar Akmal made a quick 49 runs from 48 balls. Bollinger was the most successful among the Australian bowlers, he took 3 wickets. After 2nd day of 2nd test Pakistan leads 204 runs in first innings with one wicket in hand.
