India took the lead 1-0

India has won the first test match of Idea Cup Test Series in Chittagong by 113 runs.

India set a huge target of 415 runs for Bangladesh in 4th innings. In the 5th day Bangladesh needed 348 runs with 8 wickets in hand. Two not out batsman of previous day were Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Ashraful. Ashraful got himself out in the first spell of first session of the day of Indian pace bowlers. Tamim scored his 5th test fifty (52 runs), the second highest of the innings. Bangladesh lost tamim and Raqibul before lunch. And finally managed to score 301 for the loss of all wickets. Mushfiqur rahim was the top scorer. He had a maiden test hundred, the quickest among any Bangladeshi in test cricket, from 112 balls. He played a solid innings with building some small partnership with tail enders. Among Indian bowlers Amit Mishra was most successful, he took 4 wickets.

Sachin Tendulkar was selected Man of the Match for his brilliant century in first innings. Tendulkar, the highest century holder in both Test and ODI cricket, scored his 44th test century in first innings. The last and and final test will be held on 24 of this month in Dhaka.
